The notion of land scarcity in Singapore could not have been anything more than a politically and economically induced condition, a permanent, and inevitable one - from post-terra nullius to tabula rasa till today. The condition could be surmised in the Habibie’s ‘little red dot’ incident1. From which the little red dot has entered the psyche of every Singaporean and now referred to with pride in the branding of our success story.
