2014: Design of the Art Connector at National Gallery Singapore, with FARM. Kwodrent and Atelier Dreistl. Design concept.

The Art Connector is an SG50 commemorative public walkway commissioned by National Gallery Singapore in conjunction with Singapore’s jubilee year celebrations in 2015. It features collaborative artwork including 20,000 self-portraits from the public as well as commissioned pieces from Singaporean artists. The Art Connector formed a section of the SG50 Jubilee Walk. Its richly textured materials and distinct form were informed by geological formations which served as metaphorical inspiration for the design. The Art Connector was shortlisted for the ‘Design of the Year Award,’ President’s Design Award 2016.
